OVERVIEW
Leafbase is an open-source platform for tracking and visualizing environmental data across urban areas. It connects city planners with live metrics — air quality, green space coverage, infrastructure load — via a public API and a map-centred civic dashboard.
Challenge
The hard part was normalizing sensor data from dozens of incompatible municipal sources in real time, while keeping the interface legible enough for non-technical civic teams. We built a lightweight ingestion layer and prioritized a no-configuration deploy path so cities could run their own instances with minimal lift.
